GT Motive for Insurers

2021 Through the Lens of GT Motive

2021 will be remembered as a hugely successful year for GT Motive.

Let’s take a look at all the significant highlights; highlights which again underline our commitment to making further inroads and substantial strides within this changing estimating technology solutions sector. From industry awards to new partnerships, 2021 has been a very exciting year for GT Motive.

Donning Our Glad Rags

Arguably culminating in one of our finest hours at this year’s ABP Repairer’s Choice Awards, where as a team GT Motive clinched the ABP Repairer’s Choice for Best Estimating System gong at the November gathering of the great and good of the automotive industry. An award that has been won by one company alone for the past 13 years. This was a proud moment for our GT Motive team, one that acts as a huge turning point for our mission to provide competition to a previously dominated market.

Elsewhere – and when we weren’t being handed awards – we attended several awards evenings, and proudly sponsored other gala events.

For example, the ‘NBRA Greener Bodyshop Awards’ event and the prestigious ‘I Love Claims Tech Conference’. GT Motive was also invited to put our name to specific industry awards, which this last year included ‘The Vehicle Manufacturer Approved Bodyshop Programme’ award. Presented at 2021’s much-anticipated ‘Autobody Professionals Club Limited Night of Knights’ event.

The Year We Welcomed Yet More New Faces

Away from the bright lights and formal attire, GT Motive continued to build on our already impressive foundations (if we do say so ourselves). And as a crucial part of this jigsaw, we welcomed many new faces to the award-winning team during the course of the year just gone.

Chief amongst which was the former Audatex Business Development Manager, Martyn Rowley. After 13 years with his previous employers, Martyn was looking for fresh challenges. Martyn has already become a massive asset to our team and we look forward to conquering 2022 with him by our side.

From new names and faces coming onboard during 2021, to adding more trailblazing partnerships to our already burgeoning books, GT Motive witnessed many changes throughout the 12 months. All of which put us in even better shape to spearhead our specialised and bespoke software solutions, designed for claims, bodyshop and breakdown estimation purposes.

A Year Of New Partnerships

In terms of partnerships, we’ve now joined forces with Cazoo Data Services to provide ombudsman-approved valuations. A major announcement and opportunity for our customers to be able to deliver and source reliable and accurate data in one software platform.

We also announced many new repair networks and bodyshops had selected to work with GT Motive; Cooper Barnes, iRG, Chips Away, SSH, Apollo, XL Motors and Sandicliffe to name a few. Lee Wallbank – Managing Director of iRG Innovative Repair Group – decided that GT Motive could help pave the way to achieve future goals, after adding our much sought-after estimating system into iRG’s existing business set-up. As one of their estimating systems of choice.

A Major Announcement

As among the plethora of individual and collective successes of 2021 within GT Motive, it’s possibly what happened in September this year which might, potentially, write the foreseeable years ahead.

As it was in the autumn that we announced a massive coup. That being official confirmation of our future plans with Allianz X, the digital investment arm of the Allianz Group. A global company that requires little introduction, and a major player in numerous automotive sectors. As of September 2021, GT Motive signed a definitive agreement for a change in ownership, which saw the Allianz X acquire a majority stake.

Speaking of the decision at the time of the announcement, CEO of GT Motive, Angel Martinez was quoted as saying; “Solid progress of a company like GT Motive demands a long-term vision and commitment,” going on to add; “and GT Motive has found in Allianz X the best support for many years to come.”

Citing GT Motive’s founding principles, our CEO explained the company’s role as being one which; “supports insurers, repairers and car manufacturers in the claims and repair process”, whilst also reiterating the importance of the innovative, open and collaborative technology which GT Motive has historically created as a means of returning vehicles to the roads efficiently and complying with optimum safety criteria.

Here’s To A Happy 2022

So, as we look to usher in 2022 GT Motive finds itself in a healthy position to make even greater inroads and structural progress in the new year. And hope that over the next 12 months we can grow incrementally as we have done in the past.

Which only leaves us with the message of wishing all our customers, partners and employees a prosperous and safe 2022, as we work together to take the business to the next level.

 Happy New Year!
