GT Motive for Insurers

NEWS: GT Motive Partner with OEC to Connect Customers to Competitive OE Parts

GT Motive and OEC are working together to provide GT Motive customers with access to competitive OE parts pricing support directly from OEC’s VISION collision platform.

GT Motive, the creators of estimating platforms GT Global and GT Estimate, have taken the UK by storm since launching their modern cloud-based solutions into the UK’s claims market in 2020. Winning countless awards including Repairers Choice for the best Estimating System two years running, and increasing their repairer customers from 200 in August 2021 to now working with over 1,000 repairers.

Their latest announcement sees GT Motive partner with an OE parts provider for the first time. Executive Director of GT Motive, David Vella said “We’re proud to partner with OEC to provide our users with access to pricing support on OE parts. Our customers can now benefit from competitive pricing to fit genuine which will provide a better quality repair and increase productivity.”

Vella Continues “We’re continuously making improvements to our modern estimating platform to ensure repairers can complete repair cost calculations quicker and more accurately. And in turn, insurers can reduce claim cycle times to keep their customers happy. With this partnership, we can ensure faster quotations and part procurement and less delays in part delivery. This is just another step in enabling a wider claims ecosystem where all stakeholders can work together to improve operations. We’re committed to offering the best experience for our repairers, this includes doing our bit to ensure repairers have access to a wide range of parts. This is another area we hope to explore in order to improve operational efficiency, and fundamentally create an overall better claims process for all stakeholders.”

With the global automotive market facing delays in parts, claimants can expect more total loss evaluations from insurers. However, with more genuine OE part prices available to repair networks, it will provide the ability for an insurer to run a Total Loss Avoidance scheme to minimise the vehicles going to salvage after incident.

OEC partners with some of the world’s largest manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, bodyshops and garages, and management system providers to give their customers a streamlined workflow. Damon Milne, International Product Director | Trade & Collision at OEC said, “We are delighted to have GT Motive as a partner for our market-leading collision platform, VISION. GT Motive has an exciting product which is growing in the UK, and we are happy to be part of their journey. This partnership gives OEC access to additional repair estimates for our clients, generated by the GT Motive platform, allowing us to increase genuine parts usage and save additional vehicles from being written off. We will start in the UK in 2023 but hope to extend into markets across Europe in the coming years.”

GT Motive and OEC share their commitment for connecting stakeholders via modern eco-systems, their partnership will enhance vehicle estimation operations for all stakeholders within the automotive claims industry.
